On our family holiday, we stayed in the beautiful Batemans Bay area.
One of the many things I found fascinating about this place was the coastal rock structures. With a mixture of basalt, granite, quartz and sandstone, the rock formations were amazing and extremely unforgiving.
Sharp lines, sharper edges, amazing colours and textures.
One of the themes of my shoot when in this area was to try and capture the textures found in these rocks. To be honest, I could have quite easily taking Gigabytes of photos on the varying textures and light.
What I have tried to do is select the variance in the following shots, and converted some to black and white, in an attempt to draw some of the colour and contrast from them...Hope you enjoy this selection..
