From 28 December to 31 December 2012, the FX-FJ Holden Club Nationals were held for the first time in Bathurst. With approximately 200 club members and thousands of visitors, the event should be considered a success.
The following images are those which I captured from the 'show and shine' day held at the Bathurst Showground.
I am slowly working through some of the images, and provide a little commentary below for those which differ a little from the others. I do hope you enjoy them.
The following is one of my many favourites from the show. The first is the original image, the second is a black /white with recolour conversion. The second image does present this excellent machine in a better light.
A few variances on this electric blue Holden. The first is ofcourse the original image. The second is a black/white with recolouring conversion and blur filtering for surrounding vehicles. The third is a HDR image of the second, providing a more electrified result.
With the car show, it was difficult to obtain an isolated image of one particular vehicle due to the closeness of each one as well as the number of people around.
I love the shape of this particular model, but with the vehicles behind it, the image is distracted. However, with the second image, the conversion provides a better result.
As with many of my images, I can't help but try my hand at some panoramic shots. The images were taken at a later part of the day, where it was just too hot to be out. But, that gave me a less hindered view of the vehicles on display on the showground ring road.
I am slowly converting these in line with the previous black/white conversion ones, but is quite time consuming. I am hoping to have these presented in the blog in the coming weeks.
These four are new additions to the Nationals with the black/white conversion and recolouring. The Ambulance took a lot of time due to the aerials and lights...but at the end of it all, I am very satisfied with the results..
